Bartender / Waiter

Jeromes garden & suites is a welcoming hotel located in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos. We are committed to providing our guests with a positive and memorable experience through excellent service. We are currently looking for a skilled and versatile individual to join our Food & Beverage team.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Bartender / Waiter to join our team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will be responsible for crafting quality beverages at the bar, delivering exceptional table service in our restaurant, and attending to room service requests. Your friendly demeanor and professional skills will be key to ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service & Waiting: Welcome guests warmly, present menus, and take accurate food and beverage orders. Serve meals and drinks efficiently, attend to guest needs, process payments, and maintain a clean and tidy dining area.
• Bartending & Bar Management: Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, according to standard recipes. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, manage inventory, and make recommendations to guests.
• General Duties: Uphold all hygiene, safety, and service standards. Consistently provide a superior and personalized experience for all guests and perform other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For:

• You have a minimum of an OND.
• You possess a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a Bartending role. This is a mandatory requirement.
• You must reside in Ikeja or its immediate surrounding areas. Proximity to the hotel is highly desired.
• You have good knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, and drink service.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• You are a team player with a positive attitude and professional appearance.

The Offer:

• • A monthly salary range of NGN 35,000 – NGN 45,000.
  • Opportunities to earn tips and service charges.
  • Staff meals may be provided during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests and present menus.
• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
• Mix and serve drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages.
• Serve meals for restaurant, bar, and room service guests.
• Manage guest payments and balance receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, restaurant, and work areas.
• Manage bar inventory and supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a Bartending role is mandatory.

• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
